Our Journey

Blueberry Botanicals was founded by Rajesh Balakrishnan, a business development professional with over 30 years of international experience across India and the Middle East — including the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Muscat — as well as time spent in Canada exploring global markets and opportunities.

His career began in technical sales and infrastructure projects, working extensively with electronic safety systems, ELV solutions, and large-scale project environments in the Gulf. Over the years, he built strong expertise in business development, negotiation, and setting up operations from the ground up in competitive international markets.

But alongside this global corporate journey, a deeper passion was always growing — agriculture.

From Global Business to Ground-Level Farming

Returning to India, Rajesh transitioned into hands-on farming, combining his structured business approach with natural growing methods. What started as an interest soon evolved into deep practical expertise:

• Developed precision farming systems including drip irrigation and soil conditioning
• Managed large-scale nurseries with thousands of seedlings
• Practised seed breeding and plant propagation, including formal training in plant propagation techniques
• Gained experience in composting, pest management, and companion planting
• Worked with exotic vegetables, medicinal plants, and traditional crops

This phase was not theoretical — it was built on real soil, real crops, and real outcomes.

Global Trade & Export Expertise

With strong roots in both business and farming, Rajesh expanded into international agri trade, successfully exporting fresh fruits and vegetables from India to Gulf countries:

• Managed end-to-end export operations via air cargo
• Handled documentation, customs clearance, and compliance
• Built relationships with importers, wholesalers, and catering companies across the Gulf
• Ensured quality through proper post-harvest handling, packaging, and cold-chain logistics
