Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Why is Dhaanuantaram Kashayam diluted with lukewarm water?
Classical Ayurvedic kashayam preparations are concentrated decoctions. Diluting with lukewarm water (typically 1:3 ratio) reduces the concentration to a therapeutically appropriate level, improves palatability, and enhances absorption in the digestive tract. Lukewarm water also supports Vata pacification.
Q2. What is the significance of Bala (Sida rhombifolia) as the primary herb?
Bala is one of Ayurveda’s foremost Vata-pacifying herbs, classically described as a balya (strength-promoting), brimhana (nourishing), and vata-shamana (Vata-pacifying) herb. Its dominant presence in this formulation (13.796g per 10ml) reflects its central role in addressing Vata disorders, debility, and urogenital conditions.
Q3. Can Dhaanuantaram Kashayam be used for joint pain and musculoskeletal conditions?
Vata disorders (Vatavyadhi) encompass a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions in Ayurveda. This formulation is traditionally indicated for Vata ailments broadly. However, specific conditions should be assessed and treated under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic physician.
Q4. Is this suitable during pregnancy?
Pregnant or nursing women should consult a qualified Ayurvedic physician before use. Do not self-administer during pregnancy.
Q5. Do you offer bulk or institutional orders?
Yes, we welcome bulk and wholesale enquiries. Please contact us directly for pricing, certifications, and minimum order quantities.
