Mustaarishtam is a classical Ayurvedic fermented preparation (arishtam) referenced in Bhaishajya Ratnavali, prepared primarily from Nut Grass (Cyperus rotundus / Musta) — one of Ayurveda's foremost herbs for digestive and metabolic disorders. Musta is classically described as a deepana (digestive stimulant), pachana (digestive), and grahi (absorbent) herb, making it particularly effective in conditions involving impaired digestion, malabsorption, and loose stools.

Prepared by the classical arishtam fermentation method using Woodfordia fruticosa (Dhataki) flowers as the natural fermenting agent and jaggery as the fermentation base, this preparation is traditionally indicated for Grahani (irritable bowel / malabsorption syndrome), poor digestion, diarrhoea, and anorexia.

Dosage
